This cave is a top tourist attraction in Belize, a famous Mayan burial site still notable by the four skeletons that are found inside this cave as well other artifacts and ceramics. The most notable skeleton is the one of a girl that is completely calcified into the floor of the cave, forming a sparking surface over it. The cave also features several chambers situated deep inside the cave.

You will be arriving at the starting point around mid-morning, where you begin a 40 minutes hike. The hike’s path passes through several streams and also through the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve. Once at the mouth of the cave you will be required to swim on 3 or 4ft max water depth to access the cave. Once inside you get access to the various levels of the cave and the chambers where you are required to take off your shoes, to prevent damages to the artifacts.
